In the Stillness

In the stillness of God,
I yearn to dwell under His wings.
My fortress, my refuge, the safest place is He.
In the Stillness of God is where I shall be.

Chaos surrounds, a raging water I see.
He is the Peace who calms the sea.
An extended hand, a friend who will never leave.
In the Stillness of God is where I shall be.

No caution to proceed or tread lightly with He.
Every footstep He orders and every path He leads,
No worries for the future and all it may bring,
He exceedingly provides every one of our needs.
In the Stillness of God is where I shall be.

There’s no other place,
No other comfort as He.
In the Stillness of God, In the Stillness of He.
Is where I shall be.

Reflecting on Christ’s love this week, this Holy Week. Let us continue to guard our hearts, as we focus on the unconditional love Christ has for us and the sacrifice He made when He bore the weight of our sins on the cross through His crucifixion. Through the power of His Resurrection, we can have new life in Him. It is in these times, we need to draw nearer to Christ and meditate on His love. It’s easy to get caught up, frustrated, angry or have any other negative feeling now, however we must hold on to God’s unchanging hand. It is now, that we need to come together, check on loved ones, and have peace with one another. Most importantly, it’s time to share the Good News with others. There is urgency so Christians need to bold, fearless and firm in our faith. Let’s reflect on His love and the Grace and Mercy He continues to show us daily. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. Stay in the Stillness of God, it’s the safest place to be.
