If there ever was a time for believers to turn to the Lord, it is now. If there was a time for believers to come together, it is now. The time is now to grow, to pray, and to go deeper in Christ. Most of us are in quarantine. It hurts; not being able to spend time with loved ones and friends, not being among other believers, unable to go to work or enjoy every other activity that would fill my calendar. However, in the midst of it all, there is beauty in solitude. I have peace. Without the distractions of the busyness in the world, I realize the Lord wants more of us. Believers have found ways to connect, families have healed and rekindled, we’ve gotten creative in our interactions with each other, and humanity is changing as we work to protect one another. In times like these, we may not understand why they are happening. Why so much chaos, pain, and hurt? Although we may not have the answers to those questions, there is peace in the storm. Jesus is peace in the storm (Mark 4: 35-41). Some of you may be hurting right now…I want to remind you that Jesus loves you (John 15: 9). He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). His Word is unchanging and He always keeps His promises. If you are alone in quarantine, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Let’s continue to be strong, seeking Him for our strength, our power, and our boldness. Most importantly, realize the urgency as we continue to be a witness for the Lord so others might be saved. Through Christ we can (Philippians 4:13). We are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37)!! Spread His love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Our world needs to know His love (John 3:16-17).
