Waiting Never Hurt Anybody

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Quiet down before God, be prayerful before him. Don’t bother with those who climb the ladder, who elbow their way to the top ” (Psalm 37:7, MSG).

We get so anxious in our everyday lives. We want what we want right now and find it difficult to wait a second longer. We pray about our circumstances and often want to see our trials gone with our prayers answered overnight. We must learn to be still and be patient. The above scriptures encourage us to wait on the Lord and not be discouraged while we do. We serve a faithful and loving Heavenly Father Who always keeps His promises. He never lies and will NEVER change His mind (Numbers 23:19). While waiting, it’s important that we do not become ineffective. We must continue to pray and meditate on the Word of God. Though it’s difficult to wait, it’s that much more rewarding and peaceful when we do. Scripture tells us that in our waiting season He will renew our strength. Your situations may seem overwhelming, bills don’t seem like they will get paid, your job may bring immense pressure, but waiting will work in your favor! You’ll come out better, wiser, stronger, and faith enlarged!
