Every time you turn on the news there’s turmoil. Children are dying, innocent lives are taken, burglaries, wars, etc. The news can sometimes appear as what looks like a hopeless situation. It’s discouraging. The peace of everyday life seems to transform into a fear of stepping foot outside of your home. But we have to put our trust and faith in Jesus. If we are to fulfill the gospel and mission of Jesus Christ we have to be bold and fearless! That’s why it’s important that we’re always wearing the Full Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Though turmoil and war is all around us, Jesus is our protector. Remember that He promised that He would never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). We are safe in His arms. We can rest peacefully in His arms of grace and love. And because He protects and loves us, we don’t have to be afraid. Others need to know the goodness of God and that calls for us to be unafraid to share the Good News with others so that they will want to become believers in Christ, also! I hope this encourages someone to continue to be bold even when it’s difficult to do so!
